This resource provides a culturally sensitive checklist of questions for health professionals to understand where clients currently stand with their diagnosis/perception of events, and knowledge of the health system. It also provides tools to facilitate understanding of patients’ use of alternative treatments (e.g. healers, naturopathy, meditation, etc.), and how their spirituality or religion may affect their perception of medical treatment.
